Spring has sprung and the children have had an extremely enjoyable month learning all about spring and the different flowers and animals that it brings. All of the children have participated in lots of art and crafts activities from hand and feet print painting to gluing and sticking, making animals, flowers and insects.
We welcomed Mary towards the end of February, our yoga instructor who will be doing yoga with the children every Monday over a course of five weeks. Mary was impressed with how well the children have responded to her directions during the first two sessions. They all seem to be really enjoying it so far.
We had a cake sale after the Midterm Break to show our support to Brian who was over in Alaska taking part in an endurance race, we would like to thank everyone who brought in buns on the day and also who kindly donated money for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Pancake Tuesday, Valentine’s Day and St Patrick’s Day are some of the other themes the children have been learning about recently. We look forward to next month, where we will be celebrating Easter and our ECCE class will start preparing for their graduation.
